Yes…We’re Still Alive
I know, I know, it’s been months since I’ve shared anything but the truth is life has been pretty normal. That and I got a little blogged out so I thought if I didn’t do it maybe Aaron would. Obviously it did not work. I’ll give everyone the short version of our life, Brinley has been to her usual gajillion appointments and we’re working on getting a wheelchair for her before she’s 30. There’s a lot of paperwork, time, appointments, and picky insurance people to deal with before we can even get started on ordering the thing. I have been working in scouts for the last couple of months which is interesting for me since I’m not at all the scouter type. I prefer hotels over tents, never learned to use a compass and never want to, can barely start a fire with matches and lighter fluid, and when I see lessons requiring me to teach the boys to build something I just laugh and skip to the next one until I can bribe Aaron to join me. In the last few months Aaron has worked lots and even began teaching a Flex class (the programming stuff he does) to his peers. He also managed to get his front tooth knocked out in a soccer game which required two root canals and probably a new tooth one day.
Check out all of the photos under Summer 2010 (including Brinley’s first trip to the zoo!)
These first few videos are of some games we play with Brinley at home. They’re pretty silly but you can see how much she loves them!
These are from our trip to the zoo.
