Halloween 2009
This year I was very excited to get Brinley dressed up and enjoy our first Halloween with her. She went as a not so happy bumble bee. She actually was quite content most of the time. She just didn’t get what all the excitement was about. I had a little pail that was the perfect size for her and she kept a death grip on that thing all night.
Once Brinley was sick of trick or treating (which was well before dark) Aaron and Kevin dressed up as dummies to scare all of the trick or treaters. They did an amazing job! We had teenage boys afraid to come up to them! Some of the highlights were, a little ladybug that made a mad dash away from Kevin so fast that she dropped her candy bag and didn’t seem to care, a group of about 10-20 people most of them being crying 4 year olds afraid to go after the candy, one kid who got so scared he jumped off our porch into the bushes. They even scared the moms that would come up to get candy for their kids. It made for a really fun Halloween and was talked about throughout church the next day. Holidays are so fun with the little ones! I’ll have to remember to stay away from the scary house on Halloween though. =o)
